I found this spectacular quilt at at thrift store this summer and was so immediately drawn to it. It is so beautiful and just about everything I love wrapped into one fabric package.
Vintage fabrics, simple repetitive-style, great colors, and textural appeal–everything I love about sewing–this baby has got it all.
The yo-yos are perfectly sewn together.
And the fabrics are just. plain. awesome.
It is to date my favorite find ever.
P.S. We finished setting up our booth last night….and it was a crazy fiasco! How is it that liZ and I manage to act like Lucy and Ethel wherever we go? And why did we think that not taking a pair of scissors to set things up was a good plan? Oh boy….this weekend is going to have stories to tell…..I can just feel it.

Gorgeous! How does it wash up? It looks so delicate. Any idea on how they are stuck in there? I’d love to try this but just can’t wrap my brain around it.

What an amazing find. That must have taken ages to make for someone!

That is an INCREDIBLE find. It must have taken whoever made it such a long time. I always feel bad for intricately crocheted blankets that I find at thrift stores. To think that someone took hours upon hours to make something and in the end it was given away to a thrift store 🙁 So glad that this gem was claimed by someone that really appreciates it 🙂

You’re kidding me. You found this at a THRIFT STORE???? I am in shock. First, that someone would EVER give this up. Second that it is in such awesome condition. I want one so badly!!! Oh my. Love.
I’m totally jealous there’s no way you’d find something like that around here. Gems are few and far between.
If you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay for that?? Because, honestly, I could see someone getting a BUNDLE for something that well made. 🙂

This is making me want to try to make one! For some reason I absolutely love making yo-yos. I don’t know whether it’s their endless uses, how easy they are or just their over-all cuteness! Definitely an amazing find!
