One of the other highlights of going to the Midwest this summer was getting to go shopping and lunching with the lovely Lindsay, aka The Cottage Home Mama. She is ever as lovely in person as she is on her blog and it was such a pleasure to shop, laugh, eat and chat. I was actually supposed to be somewhere and we just kept chatting and chatting and chatting that I didn’t even realize the time had gone by so quickly and I was late for a family function. (Shhhhh….don’t tell my family that little tidbit.) But we really could have chatted so much. It was a very fun day.
First on that list was shopping. We met at Material Girl, a darling fabric shop where Lindsay showed me their secret stash of vintage trims (and now I am telling the world—-but please don’t take them all—-I want some next year when I go. Thanks 😉 And, where her darling dresses and pattern were already hanging in the windows—she’s so famous!
I couldn’t fit a ton of fabric in the suitcases home, so I went for the vintage trims. See that red one up above, with the horses and balls? That one is for liZ, she’s on a Mexican Vintage inspiration kick as of late and I thought it fit the bill nicely, don’t you think?
