Today’s project was one that I cut out about a month ago…and finally finished today. It is from a 1968 vintage wrap skirt pattern that was a girls size 8.
So, I did some math (super hard for me sometimes) and sized it down to a 5/6, and luckily it worked! (I love it when that happens).
The main skirt is chambray and the pockets and wrap part (it essentially wraps in the back) are some vintage cotton that I found at an estate sale that I LOVE.
I love that the skirt is a wrap-around because it will work for all seasons and secondly I love wraps because they last a long time.
P.S. I am linking this one and Monday’s Vintagely Modern Summer skirt to Crafterhours Skirt Week! I love skirt week—and there have been some creative and just lovely ones this year. Great inspiration for a summer of skirting!
Adorable!

I love these pockets. You must have the best fabric stash ever!

Do you mind sharing what the pattern is? This is adorable! And with three girls I could get constant wear out of this thing!
Thanks!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
It’s darling!
This is adorable! Pinning!
So super cute. I love the chambray with the pop of yellow, such a great combo!
Oh my gosh – I want it for me!!!! Such a great fabric combination – I will be on the hunt for something similar now! 🙂
Lovely! I would also wear this. 🙂
Carrie Cae,
I cut it out so long ago, it wasn’t with the pieces….but I will go and dig for the pattern.

I just looked through all of the skirts on Crafterhours Skirt Week and was drawn straight to this skirt. When I opened in up a saw it was Simple Simon and Co. I though to myself that explains it. I am in love with your style and I completely love the simplicity of this skirt ♥
