I really try to stay ahead in blogging world…so most of the projects you see this week are really from last week. But not this week. I am so behind.
I have been taking my time meticulously (because I am afraid I am going to make a dumb mistake) drafting, cutting and sewing a blouse for my pattern drafting class. I am using this gorgeous silk-cotton voile blend (I didn’t even know such a glorious fabric existed) that I bought at Tissu Fabrics.
And meticulous is the key word this week….because for the price I paid for the fabric….I DO NOT want to mess this project up.
The fabric is seriously divine, it is kind of shimmery in a light grey/silver color with large white polka dots…and I LOVE it. I also bought a tangerine color in the same silk-cotton voile blend because I just couldn’t resist….it is such a pretty color.
I am hoping it turns out something like this blouse, with a few tweaks and design changes.
Hopefully (can everyone cross their fingers for me?) I will have it done it soon….

I love the fabric, I am just curious as to where you found a pattern drafting class, I would love to take one myself. But I have never seen one offered in my area. Laurel

Sounds fun! I love silk cotton… I drafted a blouse this week, used some of my best vintage cotton lawn and it was a disaster! Should have made a muslin first…

Fingers crossed!!!
