You might need to head to Target today….especially to see if these little guys are on clearance….because you might need some.
The kids and I made this garland to decorate for a family Christmas party while they were all on break. And now I need to go back and see if I can get any more. Because the garland is too cute to put away….and is PERFECT for Valentine’s Day. {I am terribly sorry if you are not ready for Valentine’s posts yet. I am not either. But you may have to get some before the Christmas stuff is gone}.
And the best part about it, the whole thing costs $4.
The ornaments came in a 3 pack for $1. I let the oldest two kids chop off the {bad} gold strings, and then string them up with some red and white baker’s twine. We hung ours along the curtains in the dining area. And I love it.
And now I am kicking myself that I didn’t buy some to string from the light fixture over the table, from the chairs….and everywhere else. An easy and cheap way to send a little love everywhere.
It may even stay up after Valentine’s……we always need an extra reminder to show love at the dinner table {and not tease your siblings….}

Not too early at all. 🙂 I already feel like Christmas was a whole month ago for some reason.
Nice find on felt hearts.
I love, love the pajamas you made btw. Seriously…you are an amazing sewer.
And great idea to have your son wrap presents. I may have to copy you next year. My husband did it for me this year which was a huge help, but I bet my son would actually enjoy doing it.

NNNNoooooo!!!! I got an ornament like that LAST YEAR but it was larger. I always go *after* Christmas for ornaments…I *especially* looked for HEARTS cause Valentines is my FAVORITE holiday–all my Target had were TREES in that design! I am going to rush out to stalk a different Target tomorrow & see if I can find any! boohoo! ThanX for the heads up.

My target had tons of the hearts – no red – but lots of hot pink and white packs. Also picked up some pink and green glitter butterflies for my little girls’ room (plastic ones). Love!

One of our Targets had these and every other color they made for 30 cents a pack now (70% off). I also found some Valentine ribbon sets in the $1 bin at the front of the store, so I am planning to make a similar version. Thanks for the heads-up and the inspiration! I also bought a bunch of the Christmas tree ones to make either a garland for next Christmas or to use with another project yet to be determined!
