Today for $5 Friday I am going to share one of my favorite projects—Mod Podge Peg People!
You can buy these little wooden peggies at most craft stores (like Michael’s, JoAnn’s, Hobby Lobby, etc). Depending on their size (these are 2 inches tall) and where you buy them their price will vary. But if you buy them in the pack of 3 they should always cost less than $5 for 3 of them.
Alright let’s get started. Here’s how to make them:
#1. Paint your dolls head the flesh color of your choice.
#2. Cover the body in Mod Podge.
#3. Wrap the body in fabric.
#4. Cut the excess fabric off of the bottom.
#5. Cover the fabric, neck area, and bottom of your peg person in Mod Podge.
#6. Add extra Mod Podge around the top edge of the fabric, place the trim on top of the fabric, cover the trim with Mod Podge.
#7. Paint on the hair style of your choice.
#8. Using a the head of a pin dip dot some eyes onto your peg person.
#9. Mod Podge over the top of the entire head.
And you’re done!
Maybe…kind of…
but if you’re anything like me once you start making these little ladies you just won’t stop.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I don’t really trust my painting skills, but I must try these, nonetheless!

Yay! Thank you for the instructions! I’ve seen so many of these cute little dolls and wanted to try them, but I’ve mostly seen finished projects without instructions. I am positive that I will completely butcher them, but I think I’ll try them anyway 🙂

The head of a pin! *facepalm* why didn’t I think of that? I found some fine-point paint pens at Michaels the other day and thought I was a genius…when all along I had the means to make perfect dot-eyes all along. haha. thank you!
