Today I am sharing with you the kids’ holiday jammies that they opened for Christmas Eve. As much as I love the look of holiday print jammies {I wish I would have done some for the whole season} I just wanted something a little more year-round because I started so late in the pajama game.
So, I went with orange and navy. A good combo for the boys and a girl….and thankfully I did get them done (allbeit, Christmas Eve morning….but they did get their buttons on!)
This is the nightgown I made for Hannie…..a 1950’s esque nightgown mixed with a bit of Anne of Green Gables. I basically made it up…..from the same bodice as the Vintage Holiday Dress, chopped off and turned around (adjusting the neckline) and then added a Peter Pan collar and puffed sleeves.
{And please know…yes….they are made from quilting cotton which is not flame resistant. If that’s not ok with you, you can always use them for “loungewear.” Yes, there have been plenty of comments and emails on the subject, so use your own discretion.}
I’ll share the boys tomorrow…

😉 When I make jammies and nightgowns for the girls, I tell my brother and sister-in-law to keep them away from fire! Truthfully, if you look at *why* jammies were originally required to be flame retardant, it’s not so much an issue, because we don’t use coal oil stoves for heating anymore. And also, if you’re in a house fire and your pajamas catch fire, you’re toast, anyway!

Adorable! Research shows the flame retardant begins washing out after several washes–so no stress, girl. Great job–so cute! I just love your style.

You would have to be one of my most favourite bloggers. I just really love your style. I love this nighty but I think it is way too pretty not to be worn out as a dress ♥
