Let’s start with the nativity. (Which just so happens to be half of our giveaway today.)
I’m still smitten with peg people. (Remember when I made these fancy ones or these ones especially for boys ? ) Well, just when I’m sure we have enough I think of some others that Grace needs to add to her collection and with Christmas on the way I wanted to make her her very own nativity. (I myself have a small collection of nativities from all over the world. It is one of the only things I actively collect—besides polyester that is.)
…One of the most popular posts on our blog–a mustard yellow bustle skirt made in your little girls’ size! I (Elizabeth–I totally hijacked liZ’s post for a moment–to confuse you even more) have enough fabric to make up to a girls size 8. If you win, I will just need a waist measurement and the length of the skirt–and I will get to my circle cutting (although I have a new trick I will share with you soon 🙂
Alrighty then…item #2–the Bustle Skirt—taken care of. And now on to item #3—Mutant Pumpkins. These sadly enough are not part of today’s giveaway but are part of an awesome 13 hour Halloween Party. (Which you should totally check out.) It’s going on over here:
oh come on now, im #1…err! i want those peg dolls!!! i dont have a nativity and would love one. and i want that skirt too! err, im still mad that im #1!
I love today’s “theme.” This whole post made me smile. If I were brave I would love to paint my kitchen an apple green. I really, really hope I win this giveaway my little girl would rock that skirt & the peg doll nativity is too sweet.
I have just painted my kitchen lemon yellow. The dining room will be the same color. I wanted something that would make my blue willow dishes pop. I have all sorts of blue and white plates hanging on the walls.
Those rooms make me happy. 🙂
My old kitchen was painted dark red with butter cabinets. If I could paint my new kitchen it would be sage green with black cabinets.
I would adore a bustle skirt for my three year old.
The color of my kitchen walls is called antique (a light tannish color) and my cabinets are white (my father in law built them). I love it. I would like to paint an accent wall burnt orange though!
Not painting my kitchen but pondering painting my cabinets … in some nice off-white shade.
I LOVE that little Nativity set. So simple and sweet. I really love to have hands-on Nativities that the kids can play with.
I have been into gray lately. Thanks for the giveaway.

LOVE the skirt!! And that nativity set is very cute. What a fun double giveaway!
Painted our kitchen this color: http://thefamilyloft.blogspot.com/2010/05/kitchen-curtains.html when I was majorly nesting before baby #2. Still love it!
I’m thinking of whitewashed with light blue or yellow accents.
My kitchen is currently a deep blue/gray type color and brown…I am thinking green though for next time. I am really loving greens…and grays…and bright pops of yellow, ohhhh jeez, I usually just stand in front of the samples and pick a color that I like. So far its worked out for me. I don’t ever have a full out plan lol!
What color to paint my kitchen…It changes all the time. I’d like a clean white kitchen, maybe a stucco-look, greige might be nice too, just to narrow it down a bit! Thanks for the giveaway!
Those peg dolls are amazing!
And my little girl would love that skirt!
My kitchen is U-G-L-Y… green and white plaid with apple border! Ick!! It’s definitely on my list to change. That’s what came wtih the house!! I am thinking a cool, crisp gray or pale blue. Something relaxing!
I would paint my kitchen a soft gray color. Maybe I would even stripe one wall cause I’m loving the matte/gloss stripe look that I’m seeing . . . if I knew how to paint at all.
Ooooh, awesome giveaway items! As for kitchen colors . . . first I’d need a kitchen. But I love really clean-looking white kitchens, so I think I’d do white cabinets with maybe a really really really soft blue or gray wall color. Wouldn’t that be nice?
I love nativities. That one is so cute! Love the skirt also and I would really love for you to make it for me. 🙂 My girls would love it. I would not paint my kitchen any color – I don’t like painting and just painted it recently.
First, I love the give aways for today. I forgot how adorable pegs people are!
Now my Kitchen. I would love to paint my kitchen a sunflower yellow. I think yellow can be paired with just about any color for seasonal changes, and it will always feel bright and warm. Too bad I rent. 🙁
Unrelated posts are awesome. I am pretty obsessed with your peg people and the bustle skirt so I hope random.org picks me! My kitchen is a greenish but I’m toying with the idea of painting it a whipped honey butter color. However, I should probably paint my bedroom first since it hasn’t even been painted once. I hope you post pictures of your kitchen when it’s done!
What a cute nativity! Perfect for little hands to play with. I think I’ll be making my own this year, and maybe one for a gift.
My kitchen badly needs painting, but we’re waiting till we remove the popcorn on the ceiling… blah. I still don’t know what color, though. Something cheery, but I’m not sure yellow is the answer and that’s all I can think of.
I would love a chili pepper red kitchen but have heard that will throw off the color of the food you are making, so alas, I will be stuck with something less dramatic. A warm tangerine sounds good….
Pick me! I love the nativity and we need a bustle skirt in a size 3. I can’t wait any longer for the hand-me-downs. I am afraid of paint. We have painted the dining room twice now, and I still don’t like the color. I’m sticking with the builder’s white.
I LOVE the bustle skirt…I do NOT have the patience to make it! 🙂
I would love for my kitchen to be something deliciously bright and fun like yellow, but my husband, not so much. Instead we live with beige. Oh well! That’s what accessories are for. 🙂

OH! I want to paint my new kitchen SO bad, but we haven’t even moved yet and when we do it will be a military home so they probably won’t let me. But if I could, I’d paint all the cabinets white, the walls would be a warm gray, and I’d have a chalkboard wall in there somewhere for notes, menus, etc. BTW, I LOVE that skirt and I’d love to win!
We made a set of Star Wars peggies, they are a huge hit. The nativity ones would be much loved too. My DD would love the bustle skirt!!! Sorry, I stink at choosing paint colors. My kitchen is tan and brown with black accents.
I painted my kitchen not too long ago: red faux finished with brown glaze and golden yellow faux finished with tan/gold. Really love it but boy was it alot of work!!
It’s so sad, I’m not a decorator so I don’t even know what color I would paint my kitchen. But I think I would do the cabinets white or cream. Hmm. There isn’t much wall left after that.
That nativity set is adorable. And so is the skirt! I actually just painted my kitchen and dining room. The color is Anjou Pear. I love it so much!
I’m actually getting ready to paint my kitchen. I think I’m going to use a gold that is leftover from my living room, but I might mix in some of the burnt orange from my dining room to make a new color.
We just painted our kitchen a light blue, I’m thinking about the cabinets now. Keep them white or add some apple green trim?
I’d love to win, thanks for the chance!
I would love to paint my kitchen yellow! Love the pegs and the skirt, what a great giveaway!
Oh my, that skirt is to die for! If I could re-do my kitchen right now, which I would so love to do since it is a darker green, then I would lighten it up; maybe gray and yellow and white, or aqua and white.

I think I would paint my kitchen a light gray.
I am currently obsessed with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Your post just gave me an idea… I mat be paintings my kitchen this weekend.
I adore the skirt!!! I’d really like one in my size!
Ahh this question is such a tough issue for me because I just can’t make up my mind. I love rust on one wall with my light granite counters. Or maybe a grey blue for a change and some serenity.
Thanks for all the inspiration.

I love painting and am in a rental! We are in the process of buying an old farmhouse. I might paint the kitchen a pale yellow with white cabs. Or a pale blue. I love color. I like a red kitchen too!
That is a cute skirt, and nativity! My little girl would love the skirt!
love that skirt!! as for my kitchen, i’m dying to paint it (when we remodeled/gutted our house we painted everything in the same beigy color to save $$) but i have NO idea what color i’d go for! maybe something steely blueish? hmmm…
You guys are too funny! Love reading 🙂 As for my kitchen, I think I’d love a light yellow versus the dark red we have now!
We just put an offer in on a house and if we get it, we are totally painting the kitchen RED!! Thanks for the chance to win! Those dolls are absolutely adorable.
Hmmmmm….I so need to paint my kitchen. And my living room. And my….well, everything. We have plain white boring walls. *sigh* But if I had time for painting….I would like to paint the walls turquoise. 🙂 Love the random post.
Well, since we just painted our kitchen this is an easy one! 🙂 We did dark brown and a color that is… well… the color of a Wendy’s Frosty to be exact! We LOVE it and wondered why it took us so long to do! Love the giveaway and so would by daughter, Thanks!
I think I would paint my kitchen light blue. I’d then have to pain my living room, entry way and hall way since our house all runs together! But a girl can dream! Love this give away!
The peg people are adorable! I’ve got gray in my kitchen, but on most foggy San Francisco days, I’m wishing it was more of a sunny yellow.
What fun, currently we are sporting a blue kitchen with a multi-blue stripe feature wall..maybe a new take would head toward oranges??
