It was literally love at first site….squealing, clapping, jumping up and down. Yes, my friends it was a love connection right there in the Disney Store. And who am I to come between a girl and her true love? (Or pass up an opportunity to buy more Disney paraphernalia?)
So I bought them and she wore them out of the store. In fact, she has literally worn them every where since then. Sometimes they even sleep with her on her bed. (No, I am not kidding.)
Sure, I spent $16 on plastic shoes for a 3 year old….but they light up…and they do look just like Tinkerbell’s and besides every little girl should be able to feel fabulous.
***Note: You totally could make these yourself…find some jellies on clearance and hot glue on an over sized pom pom….at least that was what my sister said who was with me when I bought them….and Elizabeth said when I told her about them…and my husband said when he saw them…and what I’ll try if I run across some size 6 jellies on clearance (because at the rate we are loving these we are going to need a new pair soon).

i did the same thing for a light up Cinderella pair a couple of years back! And it made my year watching Chloe and her Daddy play Cinderella for the next 6 months, with the slipper getting lost – and him trying them on every fair maiden in the kingdom (i.e. Mommy), until he found who they fit…Chloe :).
Sometimes it is just worth it! Plastic jelly shoes and all.

$16 is really nothing when it makes someone that happy 🙂 And really I’m sure you’ve spent that on something far less important than shoes (cause I know I for sure have!!) lol

I’m usually a lurker… but I just had to peek in and say good for you! Sometimes I feel like I only tell my kids “no” on the things that they want and usually it’s a money issue. I also don’t want to indulge or spoil them… but sometimes I wonder if my constant negative reaction to the things they want makes them feel that the money is more important than they are. I’ve tried to be better about giving in every now and again… I mean, who doesn’t love getting something new and fun now and again??
Thanks for the reminder 🙂

My 7 year old convinced her daddy she needed a pair too (Cinderella I believe). I was a little shocked when he told me the cost of dress up shoes, but she loves them and wears them all the time. They are here “hi-heels”
