We have a guest post on Thursday….that is really exciting, so stay-tuned. But I wanted to show you my thrifting stuff today because I found some A.MAZ.ING stuff. So let’s just pretend it’s Thursday today, k?
I found all this fabulousness at an estate sale. I was (not.at.all. joking) like a kid in a candy store…and my mom just sat and held Isaac for a super long time while I just kept making piles at the cash lady’s feet–I think my poor mom was trying to pretend she had no idea who that crazy-girl-that-was-running-around-the-yard-grabbing-random-stuff was.
I promise I won’t show you the whole stash—but these are a few of my favorites things that I got. I am not sure I will ever find as good of a sale as that one….but here’s to hoping!
This vintage 35 mm camera in its case. Really love.
I had to grab these. Literally. I originally thought they were egg cups…but they are a bit big. My mom and I decided on maybe dessert or pudding cups. But we really have no idea. All we know is they are from the 60’s and AWESOME. I think that they are my favorite thing that I got there. Any other guesses?
These vintage suitcases are in perfect condition inside. And the vintage pillowcases. AHHHHH…I get giddy all over again.
And these kitchen items…a vintage nut chopper (my grandma had one just like it), a kitchen scale and a 60’s thermometer. Love.
Can you see why I was running around this lady’s yard like a crazy person? {I really did embarrass myself, but I seriously could not help it.}
Have you found any exciting things while thrifting lately?

I love it all! I would have been going crazy at that sale! The “egg cups” remind me of the way my Lu-ray egg cups are made – smaller on one end to hold a boiled egg or turn it over with the large end on top to hold a poached egg. Could the stand part of yours hold a boiled egg?

Wow…you scored big! I popped in a yardsale on my lunch break last Friday and scored big… a vintage telephone! The old wooden ones that you hang on the wall, dial with a rotary and hold the ear phone up to your head with your other hand. It’s awesome and going in my kitchen!

I love them all!!!! I see why you were runningaround loke a crazy woman! Love the egg cups and suitcases! I would love to see the rest of your loot from this sale.

Laura, they totally could hold a poached egg on the bigger end. So maybe they are egg cups after all…

Oh, I am beyond jealous! I love the little whatever-they-are cups, and the scales are too cool. And those suitcases?! Awesome! Did anyone try to crawl between your legs at this sale, perchance? 😀

Oh. Em. Gee. Elizabeth…you got some amazing items! I’m so jealous! I’m just now writing a post about some old things I found in my Mom’s barn, but they’re nowhere near as cool as these things…sigh.

I kinda love the thermometer the best. It’s just so cool.
Why can’t we find sales like that around here?

We must be on the same page ‘cuz I just posted my thrift store finds today as well. I have found some great vintage sheets (working on redoing my girls’ room with them) and I scored big on shoes.
I am loving your suitcases!!!

I love the vintage suitcases! I love incorporating the vintage things into my home and office. I have a set of old Samsonite that double as home decor and storage. I recently did a video blog about my suitcases and how I use them to organize. http://www.organizedhabits.com/my-not-so-ordinary-organization
