{It must be the week of sewing skirts for ourselves…first Liz’s….and today mine. And we never sew for ourselves! Liz’s was darling, but mine….ummmm….I think I will stick to kiddie things.}
I made this skirt out of a Pottery Barn Crib skirt that was NEW in its packaging at the thrift store for $4…..SCORE! You saw on Tuesday what I did with the inside white part (it was over a yard of fabric inside….) And then I decided to make a skirt for me out of the bottom ruffles.
So this thrift store find….
became this….
….and for under $4 dollars. I basically cut the two longer ruffles off the crib skirt (that were already hemmed. Nice.) and sewed them to a white underskirt…and done. Easy and cheap. Two of my favorite things.

i love it and what a score! and the fact that it was already hemmed and ruffled makes it that much better. i think its a great photo of your lower half:)

This post has me hoping I didn’t throw out the bed skirt I came across when I went through the sewing room last weekend. It would make a great summer skirt.

I don’t know what you are talking about…taking pictures of ourselves was THE MOST FUN EVER!!!! Especially with all the people driving by staring at us…

ps—I still like that skirt.

Wait, do you not like it? I think it’s adorable! If you don’t want it, you can mail it to me instead 🙂 And I just read Liz’s comment above . . . yessss, taking pictures is super awkward, especially when people driving by are honking or shouting things out the window, or you can see your neighbors peeking out at you. Fun fun. But I love the skirt, and I especially love how you styled it–it’s a great outfit!
