Baby Bonnet and skirt. I went to a baby shower a couple of weeks ago and made a quick skirt and ruffly bonnet for the sweet baby girl that is coming. I had seen quite a few tutorials–last summer–for cute baby bonnets and had somehow remembered that they were a rectangle with a casing on the back. (How I remembered that and not the dentist appts today..I’ll never know?)
HERE is a good tutorial if you are making one, although the sizing is a bit bigger. I used a 9 x 14 inch rectangle (that’s all I wrote down) for a size 3-6 month baby….I measured it off a hat I had and it worked.
Any fun projects in the works this week?

Oh my, so adorable! I love the little bonnet especially. I hope you get a picture of it being modeled eventually 🙂

Just adorable!! I love visiting your site – although I seem to keep adding to my “want to do”
project file instead of crossing any off 🙂

I love that fabric! The bonnet is too cute and whatever lucky baby is on the receiving end of this gift is going to look fabulous!
Have a great week!

Love this sweet adorable bonnet and skirt. Only thing is I can’t seem to find the instructions for the skirt. I have a 9 year old granddaughter and her baby sister I’ll be taking care of this summer. Want to work on teaching sewing to the oldest. This would be a great project for us to do together. She crochets now for about 9 months. Her daddy helped her to design and sew a holder for some of her hooks. We plan on making baby doll clothes too.
