Like Elizabeth, I am having “too short” issues with my daughter’s clothes. However, our problem is with pants. Her Levi’s to be exact.
Gracie has gotten too tall for her Levi’s but with spring almost here I refuse to go out and buy a bunch of new pants. I just can’t afford it. But I also don’t want her running around like a hillbilly. (No offense to any hillbillies that may be reading this post.)
So here’s my solution—5 minutes with my sewing machine and some white eyelet scraps…It works…And she even likes her pants better this way. (She calls them her “princess pants”.)
HOoraY for eyelet!
HoOraY for saving money!
And HooRaY for spring! (Please let it come soon.)

You are so amazing!! You are way too conservative! If I could do the things you do I would be telling everyone! You are seriously so talented. You have totally inspired me to try to sew more. I agree completely with the comment above!! What don’t you do?? I LOVE your blog and I will be visiting everyday! Thanks for sharing your little secret with me.

This brought a smile – back in the ’70s [when I was in high school], girls added lace, etc. to the bottoms of jeans [or even split the seams and added fabric triangles to make bell bottoms] because it was a fad. So cute to see that someone is doing this again!

Love this! I just wish I could figure out a way to do this that my son could wear. He is the one that is growing out of his jeans length-wise way to fast!
