(another sister-in-law’s bouquet from last Spring–it was gorgeous)
Both Liz (she posts as elizabeth evans) and I (I post as elizabeth–confusing, I know, sorry–we really do have the same names) were talking and we both have severe SPRING FEVER…..so for the month of March we are going to be having a month of SPRING FEVER. And then maybe Spring will come sooner instead of all the snow we have been getting lately.
We have been brainstorming and have come up with some great projects to “Springify” your wardrobe, your girlie’s wardrobe and your house. So, bring on Spring.
Also, if you have a fabulous Spring project that you would like to show…..email us with your project –simplesimonandco(at)gmail(dot)com–with a brief description or tutorial and a couple of pictures. We would love to show what you are doing to Springify your lives as well!
Coming tomorrow….a Spring skirt for you or your girlies! Mine is for my girlie. See you then!

Lots of Spring goodness going about 🙂 – love it! I think we have all got the fever!
I have a whole Spring wardrobe I am premiering next week that I made for my niece’s 1st birthday – very excited about it :). Can’t wait for black and white week to be over so I can jump on it!

Hi, I just came across your site!! Can I say I love it! So I made your bustle skirt and was noticing that we have the same sewing machine I think. I am a new sewer and just got my machine. Do you sew with elastic thread? If so can I get some pointers! Thanks so much!

I have done elastic thread on it….although I don’t love doing it with that machine. I have another machine that has a metal bobbin and it works much better. The only tips I can give are to wind tightly (it says not too…but it works better…not super tight but pretty tight—that makes no sense–sorry) and secondly hold the bobbin thread tight in the back (of the machine) until you start sewing and it catches into the fabric.
