My kids are in bed and asleep, my husband is out in the garage finishing up a few Christmas gifts, and I have a pile of tape and wrapping paper with my name on it in front of the TV. Tonight will be bliss—all is right in the world.
My current homemaking challenge is to “meet the minute”. Which I have this week. My husband usually works 6 days a week and I usually run a preschool and art classes however….this week everything has been canceled. We have all been home together. It has been wonderful.
But what does that have to do with “meeting the minute”? Everything. This week we have all seen the dentist and the doctor. We have also gone shopping and visited family. But most importantly we have read stories, painted paintings, made gingerbread houses, eaten ice cream, and camped out underneath the Christmas tree. My home has been heaven (even if it needs a serious dusting).
Housework or no housework, crafting or no crafting, this week I’m considering the minute met.
Sure, I have some projects underway that I am very excited about and photos taken of projects completed for Christmas that I need to post but until next week I’m signing off….the unwrapped gifts are calling and I need to answer.
Merry Christmas.
