We moved into our house six years ago this last Thanksgiving and about a week ago I realized that it was now time for a little update…..that was mostly my fault in the first place. You see, when we moved in I got so excited to decorate that I just started painting tan simply because that’s what everyone else was doing too. (I know, I know…)
So, when we ended up buying tan couches, tanish rugs and tanish curtains everything ended up way too tan and dark (is it weird that tan looked dark in my room?).
And so I lived with it….but hated it all at the same time.
Until now……and I am much happier. The room feels so much lighter and brighter. And way more like me. (Although the pictures are not showing the true color. It is a bit more vibrant than it is showing up. Sorry.)
The color is Behr’s Outback from Home Depot and I love it (I got the primer and paint in one….a good buy). It sometimes looks greener, sometimes yellower and mostly just way more me. And my new curtains….Target tablecloths that I love. Vintagely modern and again much more casual and much more me.
And here is a picture of the room (which is still a work in progress. I want to pull in more of that lime green and that butter yellow in the curtains …… any suggestions?)
