We made these in my preschool class this morning. They are Christmas gifts for parents (but I’m going to have my kids make them for their grandparents).
They are made from a half sheet of poster board, a Dollar store 2011 planner hot glued to the bottom corner and a bit of art work hot glued to the other corner. Then for my preschool kids I attached a quote and some writing. (That’s as far as you can see in the photo.) But then I gave them silver sharpies and let them have at the blank spaces.
I think I will do the same with my kids but may also let them add things, like rick rack, jewels, buttons, whatever we can find and they want to try. I may also attach some jute or a ribbon on the top to make the calendar hanging a bit easier.
Whatever happens the kids will have fun making it, the grandparents will love it, and it is within my price range.
Poster board: $1.00
2011 Planner: $1.00
