I have seen these “Give Thanks” frames all over bloggyland, so I don’t know who to give credit to, but this one is my cheapy version. I bought a poster frame at Walmart for $9.97 (there are two sizes–mine is the bigger size) and then used spray adhesive to attach white burlap to the back cardboard of the frame. My neighbor does vinyl (thanks Corina) so I had her do the “give thanks”–look carefully at the top–in Chopin Script (a favorite and free font) backwards so it’s on the back of the plexiglass.
The kids and I then went to town writing all the things that we are thankful for with dry erase markers. I am not kidding when I say thatĀ the olderĀ kids (8 and 5) wrote for almost an hour. Wrote, and erased, and wrote again. It was a good family night.
And they want to do it again tonight.
