I realized that this chapter will be an ongoing pursuit. Even after this week is over I will continue throughout each room of my house to check off the “Place for Everything” list (I may be a lot of things…scattered, cranky, addicted to Dr.Pepper…but I always finish what I start, even if it takes a VERY LONG time.).
So while next week I’ll begin a new chapter of the book, I will continue my pursuit to put everything in it’s place. That being said here’s Ms. Hoole’s check list as it appears in her book:
“Let me review the eight points for an orderly home:
#1. Let each room fulfill it’s function.
#2. Streamline each room.
#3. Keep neat closets and drawers.
#4. Have the courage to throw away.
#5. Label all stored food items.
#6. Store some food.
#7. Learn the fun of filing.
#8. Take care of children’s toys.
It’s never too late or too early. Form the orderly habit now…Then you will enjoy a neat home, peace of mind, and you’ll be able to find things—even in the dark!”
Even though I don’t really have a pressing need to find things in the dark I could use a neat home and the peace of mind so it’s onward…next stop the gas station (for a soda) then Gracie’s room, we’ve got a serious stuffed animal problem to address.

Simple says
I don’t think I’ll ever learn the “fun of filing”…..it’s just one of many nemises in my house.
And I need to de-junk the toy cupboards…..they are on my to do list before Christmas. I just need a bit of motivation. Wait, wasn’t that chapter already done? Good job Liz. Please come to my house asap.
I don’t know why I am posting as Simple. Oh well.
