Today I mailed off the second half of a fun project to the ladies over at Smitten Furnishings on Etsy. (Check them out. Their shop is DARLING! It is full of awesome furniture and super cool artwork made from vintage buttons….my favorite piece is the white butterfly, made with white buttons on a white background in a beautiful white frame. It is so clean and so feminine. I totally love it.)
A while ago they approached me about making some cuffs. 100 of them to be exact. Then they sent me the fabric and the buttons (which were fabulous—there was this old red one with a whoosh and some teal ones with gold trim I was especially fond of) and I turned them into wrist cuffs.
It was really fun to work with materials that other people had selected. The day I received the box of supplies was like Christmas. I spread the fabric and buttons all across the table. It was so fun to see what they had chosen for me to work with. I totally enjoyed putting it all together and I hope they enjoy what I made.
Thanks again, Smitten Furnishings for giving me that opportunity!
