At Christmas time my little boy made these as one of his gifts for his grandmas and great grandmas. (They loved them.) We had so much fun that I made some the next month for my book club. And then yesterday we made a few more for ourselves and our summer reading.
We make 2 different kinds. Ribbon and Paper Clip. (The paper clip are my favorite.)
***Ribbon Book Mark Instructions:
#1. Cut desired length of ribbon. (I usually do around 6 inches.)
#2. Using hot glue attach 2 of exactly the same button on the end so that the ribbon is sandwiched in between.
#3. Hot glue any other embellishments on top of the button. (I’ve used jewels, coins, other buttons, etc. but this step is totally optional.)
***Paper Clip Book Mark Instructions:
#1. Hot Glue a button to the end of the paper clip that does not open.
#2. That’s all.
***Fast. Easy. Fun. Useful. All for way under $5.
*If you have older kids it’s fun for them to try to make the book mark “match” the book they are going to read.
