Recently I picked up a bunch of these white vases. I bought them at a local thrift store and they cost anywhere from $0.25-$1.50 each. I love them, a lot, and I’ve been wondering what to do with them. Then this afternoon I knew what to do.
It’s the middle of May and the weather should be beautiful but so far it has been either cloudy, rainy, or snowy, like everyday. I’m going crazy. I need spring. Actually I need summer. And as I was putting away some items from a recent bridal shower and lamenting the weather I ran into my vases and some old seashells. They cheered me up and reminded me of spring flowers and summers on the beach. I quickly cleaned them and arranged them on the mantel giving me a lovely little summer scene while I’m waiting for Mother Nature to cooperate.
Simple spring mantel make-over in 10 minutes. Less than $5. Saving my sanity. Priceless.
