I really meant for this shirt to be in the Spring Look Book, but alas it didn’t get there. But maybe I should just be glad it got finished (and not in the projects of doom pile) and hopefully it will look just as cute with shorts, which reminds me….I have got to make this girl some shorts.
Both liZ and I are pretty much in LOVE with anything cross-stitched right now (you may or may not see another similar project tomorrow) but the top was a fun sew. And I like fun sews lately….
I made the lines with a water-soluble pen….and then cross-stitched away. Just like my mom taught me in first grade (I was killer at tiny Christmas ornaments back then, or at least I thought I was :).
Then I just followed the stitches below and kept right on stitching….
and stitching and stitching…..
And done!
How did this girlie of mine get so big? I really wish I could freeze time. As I am typing I can hear her up in her bedroom giggling at the book she is reading……and now I really want to freeze time….and hear that giggle forever.

Very sweet.

Such a nice way to perk up a plain top 🙂 I think it would be adorable at the bottom of a skirt too.

I used to love to do cross stitch as a kid! Hadn’t even thought about incorporating into kids clothes! Very sweet!
